The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) announced on the 14th that the institute is holding a special event with BC Card and KB Card for a month during December to thank the green card users for participating in practicing green consumption.

The ‘Green Christmas’ event is on until the 31st at over 700 stores of six companies including general supermarkets (Lotte Mart, E-mart and Home plus) and organic stores (Chorocmaeul, Mugongine and ORGA Whole Foods) and any green card holders can participate in the event.

By purchasing promotional products (over 400 items) at the stores, you can accumulate of eco-money point up to 30% the price of the goods.

Also, there are events such as offering gift certificates based on the purchase, presenting a bike to each 50 selected customers amongst the ones who spent more than 200 thousand won on public transportation and stores and more.

In particular, this is the second anniversary of the event starting last December with more distributors and manufacturers taking parts to make opportunities for more citizens to participate in green consumption and lifestyle.

Green card is apparently a green icon which was introduced in July 2011 with more than 4.3 million cards members.
