1. Under the new improved visa system of the Brazilian government, foreigners who wish to visit Brazil to provide technical support to Brazilian companies will be issued in only three working days short-term technical visas valid up to 90 days by the Brazilian diplomatic mission in their countries. The system has been in place since May 9.

° Prior to the improvement, foreign entrepreneurs planning to visit Brazil for the aforementioned purpose had to obtain a work permit and a temporary work visa from the Brazilian government, which usually took about 3-4 months.

* Out of a total 1,981 work permits issued by the Brazilian government to ROK nationals in 2012, 1,114 were temporary permits.

2. ROK nationals planning to enter Brazil to provide technical assistance to the latter country’s companies should apply for short-term technical visas at the Brazilian embassy in the ROK and submit required documents, including a letter of invitation from the Brazilian company involved. Three working days after the date of the application, the aforementioned visas will be issued to them.
