Enjoy summer vacation with eco tour voucher program (Eco-Nanuri)

 

 

Korea National Park Service (KNPS) under the Ministry announced to run the eco tour voucher program titled ‘Eco-Nanuri (sharing)’ during summer holiday from July to August in order to reinvigorate domestic tourism and spread a culture of sharing throughout the society.

 

Marking the 5th anniversary since 2009, the Eco-Nanuri program is aimed at providing an opportunity to the less privileged for embarking on eco tour and spreading the culture of sharing happiness.

 

This year, the public and private funds from various partners such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Korea Forest Service, the Korean Horse Affairs Association, IBK, GS Caltex, Dow Chemical Korea will benefit around 20,000 people.

 

The Eco-Nanuri program will be run for the children in 20 childcare centers across the nation and North Korea defectors in Seoul.

 

The program is composed of various activities including nature observation, eco therapy, and meditation at the national parks in Korea. In addition, about 300 eco tourism interpreters will give rich explanation on the natural environment, history, landscape and geology.

 

KNPS said that the objective of the Eco-Nanuri program is to boost domestic tourism and allow everyone to fully enjoy beautiful nature of the national parks. It also added that KNPS will contribute to enhancing people’s happiness through the program.
