While in Korea, President Lobo is scheduled to tour the New Songdo City in Incheon Metropolitan City; the Korea Development Institute (KDI); Daedeok Innopolis, a science town; and the Suwon factory of Samsung Electronics. President Lobo is also expected to receive an honorary ninth degree black belt in taekwondo from Kukkiwon, the world taekwondo headquarters.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1962, the two countries have steadily developed friendly, cooperative relations. President Lobo’s visit this time is expected to further solidify the close ties.
