The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs will sign an agreement to expand the scholarship program for descendants of independence patriots with the Binggrae Public Interest Foundation at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, at the Kim Koo Museum & Library. From 2018 through 2025, the Binggrae Public Interest Foundation has provided a total of KRW 570 million in scholarships to 415 descendants of independence patriots (including the 100 recipients to be awarded on December 22). Under the new agreement, the Foundation will significantly expand its support starting next year, increasing annual scholarship funding from KRW 60 million to KRW 150 million for a period of five years, amounting to a total of KRW 750 million. The expanded eligibility will also include children of uniformed public servants.
