The Ministry will provide KRW 400 million in livelihood support to 400 descendants of independence patriots from vulnerable groups—including recipients of basic livelihood assistance and near-poverty households—in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross.In commemoration of the Korean Red Cross’s 120th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation, the Korean Red Cross conducted a fundraising campaign from January 1 to November 30 in 2025 to deliver tangible assistance to descendants of independence patriots facing financial hardship. The campaign successfully raised KRW 400 million, which will be distributed as livelihood support on January 23.
