The opening ceremony will be held at Chunbguk Green Purchase Support Center on August 27.
The Green Purchase Support Center is a regional hub that supports citizens to participate in green product consumption by promoting green products and providing information and education on green consumption.
At the opening ceremony, MOE and KEITI will sign MOUs with Cheongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cheongju Council of Social Enterprises, Korea Association of Forest Kindergarten Chungbuk Branch and Council of Residents in Booyoung Apartment to revitalize green practices.

In addition, the Center will publish the ‘Green Newspaper’ aimed at finding local manufacturers of green products and introducing their products to the community. And, the Center will nurture activists of the region to offer tailored education on green consumption to homemakers and children.
Kim Yong-joo, President of KEITI, noted he will strive to spread the culture of green consumption and green production by expanding Green Purchase Support across the nation.
