1. Deputy Director-General for Northeast and Central Asian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nam Jin visited Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. During the visit, Deputy Director-General Nam held the 3rd Korea-Tajikistan Policy Consultation with Head of the Department of the Asia-Pacific Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali JONON, and the 2nd Korea-Kyrgyzstan Policy Consultation with Director of the Second Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanat TURSUNKULOV.

※ The 3rd Korea-Tajikistan Policy Consultation took place on Tuesday, May 13, and the 2nd Korea-Kyrgyzstan Policy Consultation on Thursday, May 15.

2. In the Korea-Tajikistan Policy Consultation, the two sides reviewed key issues of mutual interest, and exchanged views on ways to develop bilateral relations as well as Korea-Central Asia cooperation.

3. In the Korea-Kyrgyzstan Policy Consultation, the two sides took stock of the follow-up measures to the Korea-Kyrgyzstan summits held in December last year; discussed bilateral relations, substantive cooperation, and ways to advance Korea-Central Asia cooperation; and agreed to enrich the Korea-Kyrgyzstan Comprehensive Partnership to which the bilateral relations have recently been elevated.

4. On the occasion of his visit to Tajikistan, Deputy Director-General Nam also paid a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh SHARIFZODA.
