- Free testing for respiratory virus infections is available at Gimpo and Jeju International Airports for travelers experiencing respiratory symptoms.

- Travelers who test positive can receive a confirmation certificate, allowing them to access medical care benefits under national health insurance system when visiting a medical institution.



Osong, 18th March 2025 – The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) has launched a pilot project offering free respiratory virus testing for international arrivals at Gimpo and Jeju International Airports, starting February 17, 2025.

International travelers who exhibit respiratory symptoms upon arrival can voluntarily undergo free testing for three respiratory infectious diseases—avian influenza infection in humans, COVID-19, and influenza A/B—at the airport quarantine station.
