The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Yoo Sang-im, hereinafter referred to as “MSIT”) announced that it will reissue the public call for the National AI Computing Center Project from Monday, June 2 to Friday, June 13. The reannouncement is an extension of the initial call, and no changes have been made to the application requirements.

This project aims to establish the National AI Computing Center—a key infrastructure initiative in the AI era—through the creation of a Special Purpose Company (SPC) jointly funded by the public and private sectors.

Through this initiative, the government seeks to:
- Provide urgently needed high-performance GPU resources to academia, industry, and research sectors;
- Stimulate demand for domestically developed AI semiconductors;
- Promote partnerships with global technology leaders; and
- Connect the Center with national R&D outputs to foster technology commercialization.
