Osong, 17 July 2025 ━The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) and the Korean Society for Preventive Medicine jointly host the Climate Health Forum under the theme of exploring future directions to advance the Climate Health Impact Assessment on July 8, at 3:00PM, at Seoul Square (Jung-gu, Seoul). (See Attachment 1)
Since 2022, KDCA has convened Climate Health Forum to discuss climate change adaptation polices at home and abroad with multidisciplinary experts.
KDCA conducts the Climate Health Impact Assessment every five years in accordance with Article 37-3 of the Framework Act on Health and Medical Services, and plans to conduct the second assessment in 2026 following the first assessment in 2021. The result of the assessment will serve as a foundation for policies designed to minimize public health risks associated with climate change, including the National Climate Crisis Adaptation Enhancement Plan.
