Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister KIM Yun-duk) and organized by the International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK, Chairman HAN Man-hee), the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference 2025 (GICC 2025) will be held from 16 to 18 September in Seoul.
Since its launch in 2013, the GICC has served as a premier global platform for fostering exchanges and cooperation between overseas government agencies, major project owners, and Korean companies in the infrastructure sector. Over the years, it has attracted high-level officials from around 90 countries, providing opportunities for networking, project consultations, and discussions on practical avenues for cooperation.
GICC 2025 is expected to bring together approximately 500 participants, including 26 ministers, vice ministers, and CEOs from 30 countries, alongside representatives from Korea’s top construction companies such as Hyundai E&C and Daewoo E&C, as well as public institutions including the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), Korea National Railway, and the Korea Expressway Corporation.
Highlights of the conference include the Opening Ceremony, featuring opening remarks by ICAK Chairman, a welcome address by MOLIT Vice Minister, and congratulatory remarks by the Minister of National Infrastructure of Mauritius and the Minister of Transport and Communications of Peru.
In addition, GICC 2025 will provide direct opportunities to share new business information and project pathways with major international clients through programs such as the Global Energy Transition Business Forum, the Post-War Infrastructure Reconstruction Cooperation Seminar, one-on-one business meetings, and project briefings. These sessions aim to revitalize overseas investment and development projects while expanding opportunities for Korean firms to participate in Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) project pipelines.
