This year, the Ministry plans to recruit and work with 2 teams of official collaborative creators each with 100,000 or more YouTube subscribers, along with 2 teams of promising official collaborative creators with 10,000 or fewer than 100,000 subscribers. In particular, such promising official collaborative creators are expected to help diversify the promotion of oceans and fisheries policies by producing content with fresher perspectives and freer formats.
Anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea 19 years of age or older and who operates a YouTube channel that conveys marine and fisheries policies in their own unique way may apply as collaborative creator. Applications must be submitted through the official MOF YouTube channel (youtubecomkoreamofposts) by following the instructions in the recruitment notice posted there.
Official collaborative creators selected through the process will remain active until December 2026, and they will be eligible to receive various forms of support including support for content production costs. Detailed information regarding the recruitment for MOF’s official collaborative creators is available on MOF’s official YouTube post channel.
“The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is expanding communication including collaboration with the private sector so that marine and fisheries policies can be conveyed more easily and familiarly to the public in their daily lives. We hope for the interest and participation of many content creators who will demonstrate their creative capabilities to present the value of maritime and fisheries policies,” MOF spokesperson Jeong Dohyeon said.
