President Moon Jae-in held a series of summit meetings with world leaders during his visit to Hamburg for the G20 Summit. He met leaders from Vietnam, India, Australia, Canada and France. He discussed with these leaders issues of common interest and North Korean issues at Hamburg Messe where the G20 Summit was held.
On July 7, President Moon had summit meetings with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The next day, he met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron.
President Moon shared his views with these leaders concerning measures to boost cooperation. He explained to them his government’s policies toward North Korea and how they could jointly respond to North Korean issues. The leaders expressed their sympathy for President Moon’s explanation and vowed to work together with Seoul on the denuclearization of North Korea.
