- Initiated as part of the city’s 2010 bid, the Dream Program’s Winter Sports Academy (www.dreamprogram.co.kr) has brought underprivileged children to Pyeongchang to experience winter sports since 2004. The Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Bid Committee announced on Feb. 13 that it is hosting the ”Dream Program” until Feb. 21 at the Alpensia Resort and the nearby Gangneung area. This year, 143 youths from 33 countries, including 24 disabled youth, will participate in the event.
