The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will start its 33-day journey with an opening ceremony at 11:30 p.m. Korea time, 5:30 p.m. local time, at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on June 14.

The opening ceremony will be held 30 minutes before the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia. The ceremony will feature music icon Robbie Williams, the celebrated Russian soprano Aida Garifullina, and Brazil’s FIFA World Cup champion Ronaldo.

Ahead of the ceremony, Ronaldo shared his excitement for the upcoming tournament, saying, “The opening match is always a very symbolic one. It’s that instant when you realize that the big moment you, as a player or fan, have been waiting for four years has finally arrived.”

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia will run until July 16.
