Ahead of the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea sent a congratulatory message in both English and Russian.

In the message in English and in Russian, dated April 13, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea Dulat Bakishev said, “Astana welcomes the re-establishment and promotion of inter-Korean talks, as well as an agreement to hold a summit between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.”

“I hope that this occasion will contribute to the maintenance of the current trend for the promotion of dialogue on the Korean Peninsula,” said the ambassador.

“The entire international community, including Kazakhstan, expects great results from the upcoming Inter-Korean Summit and hopes that this meeting will be a big breakthrough in improving inter-Korean relations,” the message said.
