After the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games amazed the world with some of the finest technology and gathered all the best athletes from around the globe to compete, they also opened another door for both Koreas to unite in a meaningful event. This year’s Winter Olympics were a success and a ground breaking for new technology.

Now, the PyeongChang Olympics have opened an opportunity for South and North Korean leaders to meet for the first time in 11 years. At first, people were doubting the idea of inviting the North Korean athletes to be part of the Winter Olympics, but it brought a positive result to ease tensions between the two Koreas.

The Olympic Games became a bridge for the two to meet peacefully first at the international sporting event, and then resulted in more peace talks that will be held tomorrow. Both sides agreed to hold a summit at the border. This summit is very substantial because it can mark the potential reconciliation between North and South Korea.

Everyone has their own opinion about this current announcement from Seoul’s officials, but we are all hoping that this summit will bring peace to South and North Korea. Cheers for the success of the PyeongChang Winter Games and cheers for the future reconciliation of all Korean communities everywhere.
