The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on Sept. 25 that it will hold Seoul Beauty Week from Oct. 1-3 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Marking its third edition this year, Seoul Beauty Week focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of the Korean cosmetic industry and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Some 62 enterprises, including large domestic corporations such as AmorePacific and Kolmar, and promising SMEs will feature their products that reflect the latest trends. This exhibition will be held in the DDP's Art Hall.
"Imprintu," a portable tattoo printer from LG Household and Healthcare, and products from companies in countries such as the U.S., Germany, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia will also be on display.
The Beauty Trade Show will be held in the Conference Hall for about 200 buyers from 36 countries who will hold discussions with representatives from promising beauty companies.
Global distribution companies and Seoul Business Agency will participate in consultations with cosmetic companies that seek to advance overseas, and programs will be held for companies to promote their products via live commerce (a combination of "live streaming" and "e-commerce"); as well as for promising startups.
Additionally, online business seminars and Beauty Awards, an on-site award ceremony for outstanding products, will be held.
There will also be events for visitors to participate in. A "Beauty Creator Summit" is scheduled for the DDP's Oullim Square where content creators will recount their stories. Talk shows will be held to teach anti-aging skincare methods.
Participating companies will hold pop-up stores in the Myeong-dong, Hongdae and Gangnam neighborhoods of Seoul.
Seoul Fashion Runway and the 2024 Rookie Fashion Festival will be held at the DDP's Seoul Fashion Creative Studio.
Visitors can make a reservation online or register on-site on the day of their visit. More information is available on Seoul Beauty Week's official website (
