The music video for Psy's new song, "Hangover," has passed 80 million views on YouTube and is now aiming at 100 million hits.

The music video was released on Psy's official YouTube channel on June 9. By July 1, it had amassed 87.5 million views. In its first 32 hours, the music video attracted 20 million YouTube views, and had 53 million views in only five days. Now, fans are wondering when it will hit 100 million views.

Earlier this year on May 31, Psy's 2012 hit "Gangnam Style" became the first video in the history of the Internet to hit two billion views on YouTube, a number that continues to grow. Another hit, "Gentleman," which was released in April 2013, surpassed 700 million views on YouTube on June 22 this year.

"Hangover" debuted at 26th in the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in June 2014. It also came in first in Twitter Top Tracks and Dance/electronic Streaming charts.

Psy's two previous hits, "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman," also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, making Psy the first Asian artist to have a new song debut on the chart three times in a row.

Psy and American rapper Snoop Dogg wrote the lyrics for the song and Psy and Yoo Geon-hyung created the music. The music video was directed by Cha Eun-taek, who used a generous dose of humor in putting Psy onscreen. Psy rolls a soju glass against his face as Snoop Dogg comically follows his lead. Then, they go to the public baths and to a noraebang to ease their hangover. The music video features the sounds of traditional Korean instruments and Korean lyrics.

Psy plans to release his new song, "Daddy," in August.
