'Moonwalkers' has been selected as the opening film for the 2015 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. It tells the story of a team that attempts to fake the moon landing.
Bucheon will turn into a fantasy world over the next ten days, starting July 16. Marking its 19th birthday, the theme of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival this year is love, fantasy and adventure.
The opening film is "Moonwalkers," a French movie directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet. The story is based on the thought that we can fake anything. The film is set in 1969 just when Apollo 11 landed the first humans on the moon. During the Cold War, the U.S. was in a hurry to launch Apollo 11, to make the first historic footprints on the moon, especially before the Soviets did so. As the movie tells it, along with the launch, the U.S. made another secret plan to prepare for a fake moon landing, just in case the real one failed. For this unveiled project, Kidman, a CIA agent, is dispatched to London to liaise with Stanley Kubrick, a world-renowned film maker. However, he fails to lure him to the project and ends up on a team with Leon, disguised as Kubrick, and Jonny, a rock band manager. The light-hearted movie has both action and comic elements. For the roles, Ron Perlman was cast as Kidman and Rupert Grint as Jonny.

'Emelie,' directed by Michael Thelin, is a psychological horror film that tells the story of a baby sitter with two sides to her.
Also on the recommended list prepared by the film festival organizing committee are many horror movies, a great genre for the hot summer months. Michael Thelin's "Emelie" tells the story of a baby sitter that the children have to fight all night long when their parents are away. For fans of zombie movies, "Deathgasm" is worth some attention. It's a horror-comedy about a pair of heavy metal fans who unintentionally summon a demon.

The Indonesian movie 'Filosofi Kopi' is a heartwarming movie about coffee, people and life.
The festival is bringing more than just thrillers and horror movies. There are romantic stories, too, that you can enjoy with your loved ones and family. Among them is "Filosofi Kopi," directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. A cup of coffee is the source of stories about the shop owner's past lives.
This year's festival brings together some 235 films from 45 countries, including 62 world premieres. The event will continue until July 26.
