“Song-Song Couple” and “Goo-Won Couple” join together and share a kiss, leading to a happy ending.
On April 14, the final episode of "Descendants of the Sun" finished with a beautiful kiss, as we bid goodbye to the "Song-Song Couple" of actor Song Joong-ki and actress Song Hye-kyo -- no relation to each other. The couple was also called the "Goo-Won Couple" in reference to their characters' names, Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won. The season finale was watched by 38.8 percent of Korean television viewers.
Due to the explosive popularity of the show, and bowing to fan requests, KBS will air three extra episodes of "Descendants of the Sun" later this month, on April 20, 21 and 22.
