Actor Song Joong-ki greets over 4,000 of his fans at the Thunderdome arena in Bangkok on May 7.
Thailand has been shaken by the arrival of actor Song Joong-ki.
Song's popularity, already soaring after the soap opera “Descendants of the Sun” ended in mid-April, was proven once again when he landed at Bangkok International Airport.
On May 7, his fans gathered to watch him arrive at the terminal and airport ground services were paralyzed by the crowds.
He made a public appearance at the Thunderdome arena in Bangkok where more than 4,000 fans filled the venue, enthusiastic that they could see him directly.
Many of actor Song Joong-ki’s Thai fans participate passionately in a Facebook promotion run by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation's Bangkok office.
Piyaporn Doungjinda participated in the "Enjoy K-Food" Facebook promotion run by the food company's Bangkok office. She said, “I have a lot of interest in Korean food, and I’m really happy to meet Song Joong-ki by participating in this event. In the future, I hope that these various events will continue."
