The Institute of Traditional Korean Food (ITKF) opened the LA Korean Food Academy on Aug. 10 in downtown LA, home to more ethnic Koreans than any other region in the U.S.
ITKF Director Yoon Sook-ja said, “I hope that the growing demand for Korean cuisine education can continue to grow in the U.S., and this will help local universities and colleges choose Korean cooking as one of the regular subjects to include in their curriculums.”
“The LA Korean Food Academy will promote Korean food and Korean traditions in the U.S. and will play a leading role in advancing the overall recognition of Korean food all around the world,” Yoon said.
