The Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest performing fountain, has added to its playlist a song by the Korean pop sensation EXO.

The song “Power” marks the first time that the Dubai Fountain has added a Korean pop artist to its hugely popular repertoire.

EXO came to Dubai to launch its song "Power" at the Dubai Fountain. The pop sensation made its debut in 2012 and has enjoyed phenomenal success both in Korea, across East Asia and in the Middle East ever since. The song "Power" is their newest hit. It was released in September 2017 to great success, and has topped the charts in various K-pop markets. "Power" will now stay in rotation at the outdoor extravaganza as the first K-pop song to ever be included as part of the Dubai Fountain's world-renowned repertoire.

Korean pop music is growing in popularity, especially in the Middle East, but the artists themselves were actually caught off guard by their own fame in the region.

EXO members told Arab News that, “We were surprised by the number of fans that came to greet us at the airport, and we’re more surprised to hear that our music is popular in the region. We definitely would like to plan performances and concerts in Dubai and other cities in the region.”
