People who share how they spend time with family at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic can win prizes in a contest sponsored by the Korean government.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism through Oct. 24 is hosting "Korea's Stay-at-Home Challenge," asking participants to post how they spend time with family at home in a video.
An applicant must post a three-minute video with hashtags on one's social media such as YouTube or Facebook and submit an application on Naver Happybean's site (

The hashtags can be #stayathome #stayathomerelay #familyactivity #COVID19 #overcomeviaculture. Applicants can share anything from playing simple games like rock-paper-scissors to musical activities such as holding an online concert or a family orchestra.
The ministry will award a combined KRW 40 million in prizes to more than 200 entries, including KRW 1 million to each of the ten grand prize winners.
