The music video for "Solo," the debut solo track of BLACKPINK member Jennie, has surpassed 600 million views on YouTube, a first for a solo female K-pop artist.
The group's management agency YG Entertainment on Jan. 15 said the milestone was reached at 5:20 a.m. Korean Standard Time 26 months after the song's release in November 2018.
Jennie is the first member of BLACKPINK to release a solo album.
The music video surpassed 100 million views in 23 days after its release, 200 million in 90 days, 300 million in 182 days, 400 million in 13 months and 500 million in 20 months.
The track also topped major real-time, weekly and daily charts in Korea on the day of its release.
"Solo" also topped the iTunes charts of 40 countries, making Jennie the first female K-pop solo artist to top the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart and make the top 10 of the U.S. iTunes chart.
YG said, "This shows BLACKPINK's global influence and the love of fans for its member Jennie."
