The Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Jan. 21 said it jointly produced the six-episode documentary series "Post Corona" with Educational Broadcasting System (EBS).

The series is a look at expected changes in the world after the COVID-19 pandemic ends with actor Yoo Yeon-seok as host. From Jan. 25 to Feb. 3, EBS 1TV will air an episode at 9:45 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Produced to mark the first anniversary of the detection of the nation's first COVID-19 case, "Post Corona" will show changes in daily life caused by the pandemic and how other countries have responded to the coronavirus.

World-class scholars will give their predictions for and advice on how to overcome COVID-19 and what direction humankind should move toward.

The documentary begins with photos under the theme "Last Photos of Daily Life" taken by entrants in a photography contest, then looks back on how Koreans dealt with pandemic-induced difficulties through activities like online marathons or drive-thru concerts.

KOCIS will release the documentary after its first airing in other languages including English on Korea.net's live YouTube channel and overseas broadcasters and platforms.

KOCIS Director Park Jung-Youl said, "We hope that through this documentary, our people and everyone else in the world, who have had a tough year due to the pandemic, can use their creative adaptability to gain insight into the future and find new hope amid isolation."
