BTS' latest hit "Butter" has set another mark by topping the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for four consecutive weeks.

Billboard on June 21 said "Butter" makes BTS the first Asian act to have a No. 1 song on the chart for four straight weeks. The previous recordholder was "Sukiyaki" by Japanese singer Kyu Sakamoto, who held the top spot for three straight weeks.

Overall, BTS has topped the Billboard chart nine times with "Dynamite" (three), a remix of the Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo song "Savage Love (one)," "Life Goes On (one)" and "Butter" (four).

"Dynamite" topped the Hot 100 for the first two weeks after its release in August last year, dropped to No. 2 for two weeks afterwards but regained the top spot in its fifth week on the chart.

Of the 54 songs that debuted at No. 1 in Billboard history, only 13 of them stayed at the top for four consecutive weeks including "Butter."

BTS tweeted on its official account, "Unbelievable! #BTS_Butter is on the top of the chart 4 weeks in a row! Thanks soooo-much #BTSARMY."

Billboard said "Butter" had 111,400 downloads from June 11-17, down 20% from the week before, but its number of radio airplay audience impressions rose 6% to 25.8 million.
