A music video of the British rock band Coldplay featuring Korean dancers strutting their stuff in Seoul is surging in popularity on YouTube.

The official music video for the group's latest song "Higher Power" attracted 11.8 million views as of June 30.

A dance edition of the video released on June 21 reached 1.2 million views as of June 30.

Featured in the video are images at major venues in the Korean capital including a crosswalk in Jongno, Clock Alley in the Yeji-dong neighborhood and the alleys of Hansung University.

The dancers from Ambiguous Dance Company in the video wear traditional colorful garments and show their unique moves against the backdrop of the streets of Seoul.

Founded in 2011, the company is an art group led by artistic director Kim Bo-ram. The crew earned attention in and out of Korea last year through the video series "Feel the Rhythm of Korea" in collaboration with the domestic alternative pop band Leenalchi.

The series featured exciting and individual dance moves in six cities -- Seoul, Busan, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do Province, Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Mokpo, Jeollanam-do Province, and Gangneung, Gangwon-do Province -- and attracted 600 million views.
