K-pop sensation BTS has earned honors at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) of the U.S. for the third consecutive year.
The boy band on Sept. 12 won the awards for Group of the Year, Best K-pop and Song of Summer at the ceremony held at Barclays Center in New York.
BTS tied two American artists -- singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo and rapper Lil Nas X -- for the most awards at this year's ceremony with three.
This is also the third straight year for the K-pop act to win Group of the Year and Best K-pop.
The group also earned seven nominations, its most in a VMA, winning three.
Though unable to attend the event due to COVID-19, BTS thanked its fans in its acceptance speech through video, saying, "Army, all possible thanks to you guys," adding, "Feel your love every minute and second."
