Victoria and Albert Museum in London will exhibit Hanbok-inspired uniforms.
Korea Craft and Design Foundation President Kim Tae-hoon on Nov. 16 gave the uniforms and a certificate of donation to Rosalie Kim, lead curator of the Korean gallery at the museum.
The donation comprised a male uniform featuring a jeogeori (upper clothing) with a straight collar and modified rectangular pants and a female one consisting of a one-piece design with a modernized jeogeori and a round collar.
"Through our donation of Hanbok uniforms, we consider it meaningful to share abroad Korean culture that modernizes and regularizes the excellence of Hanbok and traditional (Korean) culture," President Kim said. "We will keep expanding our project for supplying such uniforms through continuous related support for middle and high school students."
