The lead vocalist of Steelheart, a U.S. rock band best known for its 1990s hit "She's Gone," has expressed his wish for peace on the Korean Peninsula while wearing Hanbok (traditional attire).

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Los Angeles on Feb. 17 said Miljenko Matijevic produced a music video for his new song "Trust in Love" under the theme of traditional Korean culture such as Hanbok.

The video's 33-second trailer was unveiled on the same day through the group's official YouTube account. The full version will be released on March 2 through music platforms.

Filming was done at the San Pedro Korean Bell of Friendship, which symbolizes the Korea-U.S. alliance, in San Pedro, California.

The trailer shows Matijevic clad in Hanbok ringing a bell of friendship and features traditional Korean dance.

"One day, I saw news of inter-Korean relations on TV and was inspired to write a song about becoming one through peace and love," he said. "I hope that the video of singing about peace while wearing beautiful Hanbok will be helpful to Korean fans."

KCC Director Park Wijin said, "Matijevic's music video sends the message that love and trust are needed for peace and that Hanbok is traditional Korean clothing."

Yi Chongyul, director general of the Korean Culture and Information Service, added, "I hope that the music video can spread to the world that Hanbok is the beautiful traditional attire of Korea."
