The film "Escape from Mogadishu" is the winner of the Best Orient Express Film award at this year's Fantasporto International Film Festival, which ended on April 10 in Porto, Portugal.

"Escape from Mogadishu" has won the Orient Express Film award and "Confession" the Best Director honor at this year's Fantasporto International Film Festival.
Lotte Entertainment, the distributor of "Mogadishu," on April 13 announced that the movie won the honor at the festival that ended on April 10.
The festival is one of the world's three biggest in the fantastic film genre and the largest in Portugal.
"Mogadishu" is based on the true death-defying escape from the Somalian capital in 1991 by staff from the embassies of both Koreas there amid civil war in the African country.
The film's director Ryoo Seung-wan said in his acceptance speech, "Even at this moment, we're not free from war," adding, "I hope for a speedy end to the war in Ukraine."
The legal thriller "Confession" has won the Best Director award at this year's Fantasporto International Film Festival, which ended on April 10 in Porto, Portugal.
