The Netflix Korean original series "The Sound of Magic" ranked fourth two days after its release.
FlixPatrol, which provides VOD charts and streaming ratings worldwide, on May 9 said the series on May 8 was the fourth most-watched TV show on Netflix, up from seventh on May 7, the day after its release.
The drama topped the Netflix charts of 13 countries: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
It was No. 2 in Japan, Egypt, India, Morocco, Thailand and Bahrain and No. 7 in Korea.
Based on the original Korean webtoon "Annarasumanara" by Ha Il-kwon, the series is about the mysterious magician Ri-eul (Ji Chang-wook) who appears out of the blue in front of Yoon Ah-yi (Choi Sung-eun), a girl who has lost her dream, and Na Il-deung (Hwang In-youp), who is forced to dream.
The webtoon's title, similar to "Abracadabra" in English and created by creator Ha, is a magic spell used by the magician when holding a magic show.
FlixPatrol on the same day said two other K-dramas that ended early last month ranked in the Netflix world top 10: "Business Proposal" (seventh) and "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" (10th).
