"Proof," the new album of K-pop super group BTS released on June 10, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart of the U.S.

Billboard on June 19 said the album sold 314,000 copies in its first week of its release.

The boy band has had six albums top the Billboard 200, starting with "Love Yourself: Tear" in June 2018. The other four are "Love Yourself: Answer," "Map of the Soul: Persona," "Map of the Soul: 7" and "Be."

In China, the album's sales posted KRW 4.5 billion within a day of its release. The Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post on June 18 said V Bar, the fan club of BTS member V on the Chinese social media network Weibo, announced that more than 170,000 copies of "Proof" were bought on its release date of June 10 worth USD 3.49 million.

Despite Beijing's ban on BTS holding concerts in China, V Bar still has 1.78 million followers on Weibo.

"Proof" comprises three CDs covering the group's music since its debut nine years ago. BTS recently announced a break from group activities so that its members can pursue solo projects.
