Members of leading K-pop groups have seen success in solo activities on overseas music charts.

J-Hope of BTS as of July 2 at 7 a.m. topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 84 countries including the U.S., Canada, Spain and Denmark with "More," a song from his first solo album released on July 1.

The hit's music video also reached 10 million views within 10 hours and 11 minutes after its release, reflecting strong global interest in the solo activities of BTS members.

J-Hope will also release all of songs on his first solo album "Jack in the Box."

Nayeon from the girl group Twice has also topped the Billboard 200 album chart of the U.S. as a solo artist.


Her first solo mini-album "Im Nayeon" released on June 24 ranked seventh on the chart after nine days with sales of 57,000 units, Billboard said on July 3.

This is the highest rank on the chart by a K-pop solo artist. Suga of BTS held the previous mark of 11th with his mixtape "D-2" in 2020.


Billboard said "Im Nayeon" sold 52,000 physical CDs, 4,000 streaming equivalent albums and 1,000 track downloads. The work has received a lot of interest as the first solo album by a Twice member.


Introducing Nayeon as "a member of the vocal group Twice," Billboard said, "It will be exciting to see how Nayeon performs stateside through this significant solo moment as the group approaches its milestone seventh anniversary."
