BLACKPINK is the world's first artist with 80 million subscribers on YouTube.

The girl group's management agency YG Entertainment on Sept. 5 said that as of 4:38 a.m., the number of subscribers to the group's channel broke the 80 million mark, adding, "This result is the first and highest in the world and comes six years and three months after the channel's launch."

In July 2020, the quartet made the top five list in the number of YouTube subscribers as the first artist not performing in English to do so, and later ascended to the top by surpassing famous pop stars like Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran and Marshmello.

In September last year, BLACKPINK wrested from Justin Bieber the title of artist with the most YouTube subscribers worldwide.

The videos on the girl group's channel have a cumulative 26 billion views.

BLACKPINK's 33 videos have each earned over a 100 million views including "Ddu-du Ddu-du" with 1.9 billion, "Kill This Love" 1.6 billion, "Boombayah" 1.4 billion and "As If It's Your Last" 1.2 billion.

The megastar on Sept. 16 will release its second regular album "Born Pink," followed by concerts in Seoul from Oct. 15-16 and an overseas tour of North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania in that order.
