The hit Netflix TV series "Squid Game" has won four honors at this year's Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards, which recognizes the best content on American TV for best supporting actress, special visual effects, stunt performance and production design.
At the 74th awards ceremony on Sept. 4 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the National Academy of Television Arts and Science announced "Squid Game" as the winner of the four awards, making it the first drama not in English to earn an Emmy.
The Primetime Creative Arts Emmys recognize a work's technical aspects and staff and the Primetime Emmys the cast and director.
"Squid Game" was nominated for seven categories: Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode, Outstanding Stunt Performance, Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour or More), Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (One Hour or More) and Outstanding Single-camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series.
