Seoul Festa 2023, a festival held throughout the capital, will kick off on April 30.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government on March 8 said the event will run for eight days through May 7.

The festival has the five themes of music, style, taste, nightscape and "boom-up" events.

K-pop acts like as Enhypen, The Boyz, Ikon, STAYC, Kep1er and Lee Young-ji on April 30 will perform at the opening ceremony held at the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul's Songpa-gu District.

Throughout the festival, zones will be arranged at Gwanghwamun Square, the event's main venue, including Seoul Drama Zone, Seoul Beauty Zone, Seoul Fashion Zone and a corner where visitors can make traditional handicrafts.

An event on May 6 on Seoul's Jamsugyo Bridge will allow visitors to eat outdoors along the Hangang River and try foods from convenience stores.

The "Hangang Drone Light Show" will be held at Ttukseom Hangang Park in Seoul's Gwangjin-gu District from 8 p.m. on April 29, May 1 and May 5-6.

The Myeongdong Festival will be held in the city's Myeong-dong neighborhood from April 28 to May 7, with domestic artists collaborating for the event. Myeongdong Gallery will be formed by using vacant stores and street stalls in the tourism and shopping district as art murals, and other attractions will include a large-scale balloon parade and stamp tour.

The inaugural Seoul Festa was held last year to revive tourism in the capital, which had stagnated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city government will develop the festival into a major event in which visitors can experience Seoul's charms through all five human senses. 

From this year, the annual event will be opened on the first week of May.
