BTS member Suga has reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart with his first official solo album "D-Day."

Fellow group member Jimin last month hit the same spot on the chart with his EP "Face," thus Suga has tied the market for best debut by a K-pop solo artist.

In an article forecasting the online chart for the week of May 6, Billboard on May 1 said "D-day" was second in sales with 140,000 units. No. 1 was American country singer Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time," which stayed at the top for eight consecutive weeks.

Suga's album sold 122,000 physical CDs and 12,500 stream- (SEAs) and 5,500 track-equivalent albums (TEAs), Billboard said.

Released on April 21 under his stage name Agust D, "D-day" is Suga's first solo project in three years and first official solo album. Its 10 songs include the title track "Haegeum," collaborative song "People Pt. 2" featuring K-pop singer IU, "Polar Night" and "Snooze."

The Billboard 200 is based on sales of traditional physical albums, number of streams converted into SEAs and that of digital music downloads converted into TEAs.
