The K-pop girl group NewJeans is on a list of the 100 "most impactful" Asians in the U.S.

Gold House, a nonprofit collective in the U.S. that supports cultural artists in the Asia-Pacific region, on May 1 released its annual "A100" list of the 100 most impactful Asians and Pacific islanders in American culture and society last year.

NewJeans was the lone K-pop act on this year's list.

"The quintet aspires to push the limits of K-pop with honest and authentic music that exudes youth. Just like a pair of jeans that has been a staple of every wardrobe for generations, NewJeans aim to allure the listeners with timeless music to be kept in your daily music playlist," Gold House said.

"The act released New Jeans on August 1, 2022, instantly captivating the global audience and becoming the first K-pop band to achieve the million-seller milestone with its debut album. NewJeans continue to amaze the world with groundbreaking records while staying true to their musical flair and intrinsic charm, recently making their Billboard Hot 100 debut with global smash hits 'Ditto' and 'OMG.'"

Others on the list included Kakao Entertainment Global Strategy Officer Joseph Chang.
