The annual BTS Festa next month will mark the K-pop boy band's 10th anniversary this year through events across Seoul next month. (Screen capture from Big Hit's official website)

Seoul next month will turn purple, the signature color of K-pop sensation BTS.


The group's agency Big Hit Music on May 25 on its website said this year's BTS Festa will run from June 12-25 across the capital to mark the 10th anniversary of the boy band.


Falling on June 13, the date in 2013 when the group debuted, BTS Festa is an annual festival to mark the launch between the group and its fans. 


Under the slogan "BTS Presents Everywhere," the event will comprise programs at famous spots across the city in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. 

From June 12-25, major city landmarks such as the cultural complex Some Sevit, N Seoul  Tower, Seoul City Hall, Dongdaemun Design Plaza and World Cup Bridge will turn purple, the group's signature color.


On June 17, an event at Yeouido Hangang River Park will bring together city residents and the group's fan community Army.
