A festival of K-pop artists and Hallyu (Korean Wave) content in Brussels, Belgium, where the European Union (EU) is headquartered, will commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and the EU.

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Belgium on June 15 announced its hosting of "Hallyu Town in Belgium" from June 17-18.

The event will be in the form of an interactive exhibition to display a diversity of Hallyu-related content.

The estimated 40 booths will include those selling Hansik (Korean food) by participating Korean restaurants, others allowing visitors to wear Hanbok (traditional clothing) and one promoting Busan's bid to host the 2030 World Expo.

Another section selling products made by Korean small and medium companies seeks to help such businesses advance into Belgium.

KCC Director Kim Jae-hwan said, "Through this festival, we hope to stimulate the advance by our (Korean) companies into the regional market with the rise of Hallyu's popularity here."
