The Literature Translation Institute (LTI) of Korea on July 10 said it will host this year's Korean Literature Global Review Contest. 

Foreign readers aged 14 and over can enter by submitting a book report in the form of writing, drawing or video after reading one of the titles selected by LTI Korea. 

This year's contest targets entries in English, Chinese, Indonesian, Arabic and Spanish. LTI Korea said it selected languages from countries with high acceptance of Hallyu (Korean Wave) or high potential for expanding Korean literature. 

The selected books are Cheon Myeong-kwan's novel "Whale"; Kim Cho-yeop's short story collection "If We Can't Go at the Speed of Light"; Chung Se-rang's novel "School Nurse Ahn Eun-young"; Kim Hye-jin's novel "Concerning My Daughter"; and Kim Seung-hee's poetry collection "Hope Is Lonely." 

One person can compete in multiple categories but multiple reviews of one work in the same category is prohibited. Entries must purely be the creation of the individual with no assistance from others or artificial intelligence.

The submission period runs from July 10 to Sept. 30 and the winners will be announced on Oct. 24. The grand prize winners of the three categories will each earn a trip to Korea. 

A combined 120 participants including the winners of each language and the top three finishers in each category will also receive prizes like a tablet PC, e-book reader and Amazon gift card. 

Entrants can post their works on their social media accounts and register required data like their personal information and links to their entries on the contest's official website (http://klwave.or.kr/review/).
