The new K-pop boy band ZEROBASEONE has sold a million copies of its debut EP.

Hanteochart, the largest domestic platform for tracking music sales data, on July 11 said "Youth in the Shade" sold 1.24 million copies within a day of its release on July 10.

ZEROBASEONE is the first domestic music act to sell a million copies of its debut album on the first day.

The fifth-generation K-pop group comprises nine members selected early this year on "Boys Planet," a reality competition show on the domestic music TV channel Mnet.

Describing the beauty and uncertainty of youth, "Youth in the Shade" has six songs: the title track "In Bloom," "New Kidz on the Block," "Back to Zerobase," "And I," "Our Season" and "Always."
