An event this weekend will feature a variety of Asian music with the cool breeze of the Hangang River in Seoul.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange on Sept. 7 said this year's Asia Song Festival will open on Sept. 8 at Yeouido Hangang Park Mulbit Stage and Mulbit Square.
A leading event of its kind in Asia and launched in 2004, the annual gala marks its 20th anniversary this year and promotes interaction, harmony and cultural understanding through Asian music.

Nine acts from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) take part in this year's festival.
For Korea, the K-pop groups AB6IX and KEP1ER will perform. Lee Dae-hwi of AB6IX and Kim Chae-hyun and Mashiro of KEP1ER will also act as hosts in Korean, English and Japanese.
The foreign acts include Chai and Salasa from Japan, Fyeqoodgurl from Thailand, StarBe from Indonesia, Kayan from India, Rashed AlNuaimi from the UAE and Phao from Vietnam.
KBS World's YouTube channel will livestream the concert worldwide. Admission to the venue is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
