The original Netflix film "Ballerina," released on Oct. 6, has grabbed the top spot on the streaming service's chart for films not in English.
Netflix Top 10, an official site that compiles weekly data on the amount of time users spend watching the site, on Oct. 17 said the action thriller finished No. 1 with 14.7 million views for the week of Oct. 9-15.
Over the same period, the movie finished in the top 10 in 89 countries including Canada, Austria, Egypt, Turkiye (Turkey) and New Zealand and topped the chart in 17 markets like Brazil, Morocco, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Directed by Lee Chung-hyun, "Ballerina" is about former bodyguard Ok-ju (Jeon Jong-seo), who seeks revenge on Choi Pro (Kim Ji-hoon), who caused the death of Ok-ju's best friend Min-hee (Park Yu-rim).
No. 2 on the list was the Spanish survival thriller "Nowhere" with 13.2 million views, followed by the Swedish horror flick "The Conference" with 7.6 million.
