"Beef," a Netflix drama written and starring Korean Americans, has won the Writers Guild of America (WGA) award for Best TV Miniseries Screenplay.

Thus the drama has swept the honors for best producer, actor and writer from three of the four leading Hollywood unions except for the Directors Guild of America.

"Beef" on April 14 was honored for Best TV Miniseries Screenplay at the WGA Awards ceremony held in both Los Angeles and New York.

The drama in February won the Producers Guild of America Award for Best TV Miniseries. Steven Yeun won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for his role while co-star Ali Wong claimed the women's honor in the same category.

In January, "Beef" earned the Golden Globes for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and the best male and female actors in the same category. In the same month, the series also won four Critics' Choice and eight Primetime Emmy awards.

The 10-episode series portrays what happens after a road rage incident between Danny (Yeun) and Amy (Wong). It ranked among Netflix's top 10 shows for five straight weeks after its release in April last year.
