The nation's No. 2 city will host an exhibition on the latest fashion trends in shoes and textiles.

The Busan Metropolitan Government on Oct. 28 said this year's Busan International Footwear Textile & Fashion Exhibition will run from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 at Exhibition Center 1 of the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, aka BEXCO.

The event promotes the development of the shoe and fashion industries as well as domestic brands. This year's edition features 363 companies and 389 booths for shoes, textiles and fashion at four exhibition halls under convergence trend themes.

About 50 shoe and fashion brands such as Filluminate, Lmood and Signature will showcase street fashion culture.

Participating coffee companies include leading regional brands such as Ogu Roastery Cafe and Coffee Iruka to present a combined marketing model of shoes and fashion brands and those of coffee.

Digital and eco-friendly content will feature things like a shoe manufacturing platform using artificial intelligence, recycled textile materials and a clothes classification system using big data.

Sideline events will include a global business fair, exchanges, industry seminars and fashion shows to promote the co-existence of culture and business.

More information is on the exhibition's official website (https://pfb.co.kr).
